My vision

Hi, and welcome to Botanical Print Alchemie.

Behind the scenes is a passionated scandinavian textile designer specialized in botanical dyeing and printing. Over the years I have done a lot of research on botanical colours and the journey have taken me into a deep collaboration with nature. The expression through botanical colors, has been a journey back home to my true essence.

I thrive in nature, and experience a deep and instantly soul connection in nature. Even more importantly I sense, that we as humans only scratched the surface of the hidden wisdom that nature holds. The depth of this wisdom is incomprehensibly huge, and the journey with the natural colors invites us to connect with some of that wisdom.

"Nature as a mirror addresses the natural cycles in our lives and reflects our own inner process"

I am fascinated about the cyclic aspects of nature and the exploration of how nature balances and heals us and at the same time re-connects us to our true essence. Nothing is static or definitive in the processes with the natural colours, and the journey not only opens up to our connection with nature, it also reconnects us with our inherent creativity and our inner alchemist.

We all have these abilities in us. It is in our dna. Remember the curiosity as a child when we explored the world through experiments and play? I do. Many of us lost the connection to this powerful tool. The Curiosity, the ability to cross lines, to step out of A-Z recipes and combine things in new ways. To know that "failure" doesn't exist, they are just stepping stones to new experiments. To lean into the intuitive knowing. That we KNOW.

Whether you are in the beginning of the journey with the botanical colors or you are experienced in some way, I promise you the connection with nature can be taken to new heights. In my research on the plant colors I have done thousands of experiments, cracked many important codes and geeked into the nerdy aspects of this topic, and I still feel I have just started.

“When we journey with the plants and the natural dyes, we are invited to explore, to experiment and go into every process with an open mindset saying “lets see what happens if we do this”

Welcome to this journey - lets dive into the colours of nature

By the way I have years of experience teaching and instructing within the field of textile design, ranging from many years as an senior lecturer in textile design at university colleges both in Denmark and in England, as well as my work as an external examiner in textile design all over Denmark. Over the years I have given a lot of private courses in botanical printing too.
